COMPOSITION AND HOW IT WORKS

Gluconorm PG 1 Tablet PR is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines, Glimepiride, Metformin and Pioglitazone. Glimepiride belongs to the sulfonylurea group and works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, which helps lower blood glucose levels. Metformin belongs to the biguanide group and works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from the intestines and increasing the body’s sensitivity to insulin. Pioglitazone belongs to the thiazolidinedione group and further increases insulin sensitivity. Together, these medicines work through different mechanisms to provide better blood sugar control when single or dual therapy is not effective.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take Gluconorm PG 1 Tablet PR in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. It should be taken with or after food to help avoid stomach upset. Follow the directions provided by your doctor or check the product label before use. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible unless it is almost time for your next dose.
