COMPOSITION AND HOW IT WORKS

TRIpride 2 Tablet SR is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines, Glimepiride, Metformin and Pioglitazone. Glimepiride belongs to the sulfonylurea group and works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, which helps lower blood glucose levels. Metformin belongs to the biguanide group and works by lowering glucose production in the liver, reducing glucose absorption from the intestines and increasing the body’s sensitivity to insulin. Pioglitazone belongs to the thiazolidinedione group and further increases insulin sensitivity. Together, these medicines work through different mechanisms to provide better blood sugar control when single or dual therapy is not effective.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take TRIpride 2 Tablet SR in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. It should be taken with or after food to help avoid stomach upset. Swallow the tablet whole with water and do not chew, crush or break it. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose, as an overdose may lead to low blood sugar levels.
