PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Sumo L DS Suspension is a pain-relieving and fever-reducing medicine commonly prescribed for children. It is used to manage various types of pain and reduce high body temperature, helping children feel more comfortable during illness and recovery.

KEY USES AND BENEFITS

Sumo L DS Suspension is used for the treatment of pain and fever in children. It helps relieve headaches, migraines, toothache, sore throat, muscle aches, arthritis-related pain, nerve pain, and menstrual discomfort. The medicine also effectively reduces fever by lowering elevated body temperature. When used as prescribed, it provides reliable relief from pain and discomfort while supporting your child’s overall well-being.

COMPOSITION AND HOW IT WORKS

Sumo L DS Suspension contains Paracetamol as its active ingredient. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers called prostaglandins in the brain that are responsible for causing pain and fever. By reducing these chemicals, the medicine helps relieve pain and lower body temperature.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Give Sumo L DS Suspension exactly as prescribed by your child’s doctor. Shake the bottle well before use and measure the dose using a measuring cup. It may be given with or without food, although giving it after food is generally preferred to reduce stomach irritation. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, the same dose may be repeated after the child settles down, unless an allergic reaction has occurred.

SIDE EFFECTS

Sumo L DS Suspension is generally well tolerated in children. Some children may experience temporary side effects such as indigestion, nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain. These effects are usually mild and tend to improve as the body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if any side effects persist or become troublesome.

SAFETY ADVICE

Do not give Sumo L DS Suspension along with other medicines containing paracetamol, as this may increase the risk of overdose and liver damage. Inform your doctor if your child has any blood-related disorder, allergy to medicines, birth defects, liver impairment, or kidney dysfunction before starting treatment. Always follow the prescribed dose and duration, and avoid exceeding the recommended dosage.
